Music

I think music is amazing. The stories behind people's lyrics, the way you can hear the emotion in their voices as they sing or rap. What some people go through to get where they are. It's crazy. I love that music is a way of expressing yourself. To say things through other people, things you could never say face to face with someone. I have so much respect for Eminem... I really look up to him. I know he's honestly not the best role model and he cusses a lot but the emotion and passion behind his songs is incredible. If you look behind the cussing and yelling and listen to the lyrics he tells a story through every one of his songs. I respect him for what he came out of, growing up in Detroit but also when he dropped out of rap for a little bit. When he had pill addictions, a drinking problem and tried to commit suicide twice but overcame that and made one of the best comeback albums ever. I know people say rap isn't the same anymore and I agree with that. People are messing it up but there's some amazing artists out there. Kendrick Lamar, Frank Ocean, Hopsin. People like them are the reason I have hope in this generation of hip hop. I used to love all that cheesy teen girl music, the love songs and everything like that. Sometimes I still listen to it but its mostly hip hop. I think that's an amazing genre. The way someone can tell you so much in such a creative way, the metaphores and the way they delivere their rap. I love it. Music is a huge influence in my life.
